Inspirational Learning in 2021 – time to recap!

Inspirational learning recap for 2021

Reaching the End of the Financial Year is always a bit of a watershed and a time to regroup and reflect.  The new Covid reality has changed the way all of us do business to some extent. While it has been a time of challenge, it has also been a time of enormous strength and courage.

How Vital Plus Has Evolved Post-Covid

Over the course of 2020, many positive things happened here at Vital Plus.  As a salon-only distributor with a staple of cutting-edge brands, we have always focussed on supporting our clients and helping their businesses to grow and hopefully thrive.

However, in March 2020, the very first lockdown meant all our salons were forced to close their doors.   We knew at that moment we had to reach out and stand beside you.   We wanted to provide you with information, tools and techniques to support you during such a difficult time.  Coming together as a community of beauty professionals was vital to boosting resilience.   Realising that we could be stronger together was at the heart of what we wanted to achieve.

As firm believers in the need to keep learning, our Future Beauty Talks were born.  We began to invite professional guest speakers to talk with us once a month and share their unique expertise.  It soon became apparent that providing education and connection for our Salons and the entire beauty community was paramount. Our Future Beauty Talks continue to this day.

In addition, we wanted to provide content that would interest and inspire you. Our blogs cover topics that stem from our FBT speakers each month.  So far this year, we have covered how to improve your digital presence, stress and the skin, the skin microbiome, pigmentation, and hormonal health. To read any of our blogs, head over to the blog page: https://vitalplus.com.au/skincare-blog/

Learning Experiences So far in 2021

As we head into the second half of 2021 (already!), we thought we’d take some time to recap on some of the incredible learning experiences we have had through our Future Beauty Talks this year.  And the great news is that we record all our FBTs. They are available to everyone on our YouTube channel – you will never have to miss out!

January 2021

At the start of the year, we took a look back over 2020 and all the fantastic guest speakers we welcomed. They included Fiona Tuck, Gay Wardle, Chiza Westcarr, Amanda Stevens and Tamara Reid, to name just a few!  We covered many ways to approach the new Covid reality within your salons. Plus we looked at skin and gut health, sleep, emotional wellbeing, epigenetics and Facebook marketing.  It was quite a year of learning!

February 2021

In February 2021, we welcomed the brilliant Chiza Westcarr of The Nutritional Skincare Academy. Chiza took us on a journey into the brain-skin connection.  As skincare professionals, understanding the impact of stress on skin health is vital. Chiza walked us through the most up to date research on some key factors.

March 2021

Linda Russell and Nick Wallen, Founders of skin microbiome enhancing product, JooMo joined us in March.  We are proud to be the Australian distributor of JooMo and we were thrilled to ask Nick and Linda some poignant questions. We learnt all about the skin microbiome and why protecting it is so vital to healthy skin.

April 2021

In April, we had hoped to welcome Sharon Holland, expert Naturopath and skincare expert, to talk to us about pigmentation.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sharon could not join us, but you’ll be happy to know she will be with us in August!  In the meantime, we did publish a blog on the topic of pigmentation and how to best treat it.  You might like to take a look: https://vitalplus.com.au/what-is-the-best-treatment-for-pigmentation/

May 2021

Belinda Kirkpatrick of BK Naturopathy and Nutrition joined us in May with a fascinating talk on hormones. Belinda’s holistic approach to health looks at how to manage hormonal changes through diet and lifestyle.

We then followed this up with a blog on understanding hormones to improve your professional treatments:

June 2021

In June, after several lockdowns in Victoria and as we began another here in NSW,  we invited Gay Wardle, renowned Educator and business coach within the beauty industry. As a founding member of the new industry body, ABIC, Gay explained why ABIC had to be created and how it can benefit all beauty professionals, particularly in the new world we live in.

We love offering you the chance to come together each month to be inspired by industry speakers, to allow you to ask questions and to remember that you are never alone.

At Vital Plus, the challenges of the past 18 months helped us develop our business into one that now regularly offers education, learning experiences and practical support to the beauty industry and businesses.

If any of the speakers or topics that we have covered interest you, please head over to our YouTube channel and subscribe. You can access recordings of all our Future Beauty Events there!

Vital Plus Innovative Skincare

Our fundamental beliefs are that skincare products must take a holistic approach, which empowers the skin’s health.  It is on these merits and philosophy that we select our range of skincare. We do not seek to supply beauty salons with products that give short term results but results that can be sustained and enjoyed through the years.

We love sharing our passion for the beauty industry with our clients and love seeing them succeed. And when you’re struggling or feel challenged, we are always ready to help you up and propel you towards solutions, ideas, and motivation. That’s what inspires us.

Supporting you in running a successful beauty business is our purpose.
